Job Description
River City Security & Investigations is seeking professional Armed School Security Officers to provide safety and security services at private and educational campuses in the Chattanooga area.
This role requires individuals who are dependable, alert, and capable of maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Officers must demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible armed security presence on campus
- Monitor entrances, traffic areas, and school grounds
- Conduct routine patrols of buildings and property
- Assist with student safety and school procedures
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies
- Complete reports and documentation accurately
- Communicate professionally with school staff, parents, and visitors
Requirements (Mandatory)
- Valid Tennessee Armed Security License
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to pass background screening and drug test
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
Training Requirements
Applicants must already have or be able to obtain before starting work at the location or site:
- Active Shooter Response Training
- CPR / AED Certification
- Basic First Aid Certification
(Training may be coordinated through the company if needed prior to placement.)

Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
