Armed Security Officer - Flex

River City Security & Investigations, LLC is seeking a dependable and professional Armed Security Officer – Flex to support our Chattanooga-area operations.

The Armed Flex Officer is an important part of our operations team and will provide security coverage at multiple client locations based on operational needs. Assignments may include covering open shifts, employee call-outs, vacations, holidays, special events, temporary assignments, and other client coverage needs.

This position may also perform roving/mobile patrol duties, which can require traveling between multiple client properties during the same shift, conducting property checks and patrols, responding to calls for service, and documenting activity at each assigned location.

This is a Flex position and is not assigned to one permanent client location, shift, or schedule. Applicants must be comfortable with a rotating schedule and working at different locations.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

• Provide professional armed security services at assigned client locations
• Conduct interior and exterior foot and vehicle patrols
• Perform roving/mobile patrol duties at multiple client properties
• Travel between assigned client locations during a shift when required
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled property checks
• Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, buildings, and other designated areas
• Respond to calls for service, alarms, suspicious activity, disturbances, and emergencies
• Maintain a professional and visible security presence
• Enforce client rules, policies, and site-specific post orders
• Complete accurate Daily Activity Reports (DARs), patrol documentation, and Incident Reports
• Immediately report serious incidents or concerns through the appropriate chain of command
• Assist clients, employees, visitors, and members of the public in a professional manner
• Maintain accountability for assigned vehicles, keys, equipment, and other company property
• Learn and follow post orders for multiple RCSI client locations
• Properly operate and care for assigned RCSI vehicles and equipment
• Perform additional security-related duties as assigned

Flex & Roving Officer Expectations

Because this is a Flex position, assignments and work locations may change based on company and client needs.

The Armed Flex Officer must be able to:

• Work at multiple client locations throughout Chattanooga and surrounding areas
• Work rotating day and night shifts
• Work weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Respond to changing operational and staffing needs
• Perform stationary and roving/mobile patrol assignments
• Learn different client post orders and site requirements
• Work independently and exercise sound judgment
• Maintain regular communication with RCSI supervision
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all assigned locations

Requirements

Applicants must:

• Have a High School Diploma or GED
• Possess a current and valid Armed Security Officer License
• Have at least one (1) year of security experience
• Possess a valid state-issued driver's license
• Have a clean motor vehicle driving record
• Have reliable transportation
• Be flexible and able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Be able to complete electronic security reports
• Be able to stand, walk, drive, and patrol for extended periods
• Be able to work independently and exercise good judgment
• Pass required background and drug screening as a condition of employment

Prior military or law enforcement experience is preferred.

Schedule

• 8-hour shifts
• Rotating schedule
• Day and night shift rotation
• Holidays
• Weekends as needed
• Minimum of 40 hours per week
