Job Summary
River City Roofing is seeking a Commercial Roofing Estimator who will be responsible for evaluating project requirements and preparing accurate and competitive bids. This includes reviewing plans and specifications, visiting job sites, and performing material takeoffs. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, previous construction experience, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed, accurate estimates for commercial roofing projects including shingles, TPO, metal roofing, and other flat roofing systems.
- Coordinate with the installation manager, sales teams, and customers to align expectations and schedules.
- Utilize different software systems including PlanSwift and TaperedPlus to execute bids
- Manage deadlines effectively to support high-volume bidding activity in a fast paced environment.
- Ensure all estimates align with safety regulations and company policies to minimize risks and maintain OSHA compliance.
- Stay current with industry trends, pricing, and advancements in roofing systems to provide competitive and up-to-date estimates.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years previous experience estimating commercial projects
- Proficiency in estimating software
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects
- Knowledge of job costing, material management, and site logistics.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
