Duties
- Safely operate delivery van to deliver goods across designated routes.
- Load and unload products using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols.
- Follow planned delivery routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards.
- Build strong customer relationships by delivering exceptional service, professionally engaging customers, identifying needs, recommending additional products, and resolving delivery concerns to drive repeat business and sales growth.
- Verify delivery accuracy by inspecting packages and obtaining signatures or proof of delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance needs.
- Assist with warehouse activities such as inventory management, moving stock, or organizing shipments when not on the road.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly preferred, especially with route driving responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, including the use of forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of local routes and excellent navigation skills to optimize delivery times.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
