Customer Service & Laundry Attendant
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, friendly, and customer-focused Part-Time Customer Service & Laundry Attendant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, providing excellent service, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
The Customer Service & Laundry Attendant will assist customers with their laundry needs, answer questions, help resolve concerns, process sales, monitor equipment, and maintain the overall appearance of the laundromat.
Schedule
- Primarily evening shifts: 4:00 PM/5:00 PM–10:00 PM
- Weekend availability is required
- Occasional holiday availability may be needed
Required Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience is required. Experience in retail, hospitality, food service, customer support, or another customer-facing role is preferred.
- A friendly, welcoming personality and a genuine desire to help customers.
- A warm smile, positive attitude, and professional appearance when interacting with customers.
- Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to answer questions clearly and assist customers patiently.
- The ability to remain courteous, calm, and solution-focused when handling customer concerns or challenging situations.
- A willingness to approach customers, offer assistance, and create a welcoming and positive experience.
- The ability to work independently while remaining attentive to customers and the overall needs of the facility.
- Dependable attendance, reliable transportation, and a strong sense of responsibility.
What You’ll Do....
Customer Service
- Greet customers and create a friendly, welcoming experience.
- Answer questions and assist customers with washers, dryers, vending machines, and laundry products.
- Help customers resolve concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Communicate professionally and provide helpful, courteous service.
- Process over-the-counter sales and handle cash transactions when applicable.
Facility Maintenance
- Keep the laundromat clean, safe, organized, and inviting.
- Clean and sanitize washers, dryers, folding tables, seating areas, and other surfaces.
- Sweep, mop, empty trash, and maintain the facility throughout each shift.
- Complete routine safety checks and report any concerns.
Equipment Monitoring
- Monitor washers, dryers, vending machines, and other equipment for proper operation.
- Report equipment issues to management promptly.
- Assist with basic troubleshooting, such as restarting machines or addressing minor jams.
- Refill soap dispensers, change machines, and vending products as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
- Stock and organize detergent, dryer sheets, and other laundry products.
- Manage lost-and-found items.
- Follow opening and closing procedures.
- Work independently while maintaining a positive and professional customer experience.
