What’s the Job Like?
As an Environmental Technician at River City, you’ll be jumping in and helping with a wide variety of tasks, including construction, hydro excavation, stormwater services, septic and sewer services, and more. If you enjoy working in a dynamic environment and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty, this is the role for you! You’ll work alongside a skilled team, handling equipment, driving pump trucks, performing manual labor, and making sure everything runs smoothly and safely. Our work is critical and fast-paced, and we rely on our team members to take ownership and get the job done right.
While many of our successful team members come from backgrounds in construction, landscaping, manufacturing, or warehouse work, River City offers hands-on training to help you grow and advance your career—no prior experience required.
River City is a 24/7 emergency service facility which means being on an On-Call rotation for Emergency jobs, overtime and year-round work. Your average work week will be between 50-60 hours.
We are looking for individuals who are not afraid to get dirty, who are responsible and reliable, and have the ability and desire to see a job through to the end ensuring it’s done right!

Requirements:
- A valid Driver’s License and Insurable Driving Record
- Able to pass Background Check and Drug Screen
- Ability to hook up and pull equipment and trailers to job sites
- Ability to operate non-CDL pump trucks
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined spaces
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies
- Strong communication skills and ability to properly document job completion information
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and be on call once a month for emergency needs
