Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Duties

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems in accordance with local electrical codes and the NEC (National Electrical Code).
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
• Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to NFPA 70 compliance standards.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify issues within complex electrical systems.
• Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting on various systems including low voltage controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial electrical systems.
• Install and maintain high-voltage electrical wiring for industrial machinery or infrastructure projects.
• Follow strict electrical safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment on construction sites or renovation projects.
• Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately for installation or repair work.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman services to complete projects efficiently.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards and local electrical codes.
• Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting complex systems, and performing repairs in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with industrial electrical systems including high-voltage wiring, low voltage controls, PLCs, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation.
• Construction site experience involving installation, renovation, or maintenance of electrical infrastructure.
• Ability to read technical schematics accurately and work from detailed blueprints or schematics.
• Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills; testing equipment like ohmmeters; and safety gear for high-voltage work.
• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards during all phases of work.
• Additional handyman or frame carpentry experience is a plus for versatile project support.

Pay: $48.00 - $52.00 per hour
