Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP or FNP – Psychiatry)
Outpatient | 4–5 Days/Week | No Call
River City Counseling, PC is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with psychiatric experience to provide outpatient psychiatric medication management for a low-acuity adult population.
This role is best suited for a provider who values clinical autonomy, efficiency, and high-quality patient care in a structured outpatient environment.
Position Overview
- Schedule: 4–5 days per week
- Setting: Outpatient psychiatry / private practice
- No call, no weekends, no hospital rounding
- In-person position in addition to telehealth sessions
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent psychiatric medication management for adult patients
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-ups
- Diagnose and treat common outpatient conditions (depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders)
- Collaborate appropriately with therapists and supervising physician
- Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation (within 24–48 hours)
Qualifications
- Licensed PMHNP or FNP with meaningful psychiatric experience
- Active state license and DEA (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- At least 1–2 years of outpatient psychiatric experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage a full outpatient caseload efficiently and independently
- Comfortable working in a structured, process-driven practice environment
