Position Purpose
The role of the General Foreman of the River City Transmission Division is to establish and maintain a healthy, working relationship with customers, and ensure good working relationships between our crews and customers as well as good working relationships within the crews that the general foreman oversees.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
- Oversee project assignments for both day and night crews.
- Maintain continued communication with customer.
- Conduct field checks on crews to ensure goals are met on time.
- Coordinate with customer to ensure all materials needed to perform the job are provided.
- Conduct safety meetings.
- Monitor weather forecast and conditions.
- Ensure assigned crews are properly trained to complete all tasks.
- Adhere to OSHA standards and requirements to ensure crews are working safely.
- Verify time sheets of all assigned crews and hours worked are recorded accurately.
- Hiring and vetting potential candidates and accessing their skills and knowledge based on positions available.
- Setting up lodging for assigned crews and ensuring all information is conveyed to those needing the accommodation.
- Organizing and maintaining all workflow folders and ensuring they are emailed to designated districts.
- Investigate the scene of any accident or incidents that occur involving any assigned crew members.
- Responsible for any disciplinary actions up to and including termination within assigned crews.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Working knowledge of all aspects of construction and industry practices, processes, standards, and their impact on project activities.
- Ability to multitask, collaborate with others, set priorities, and take initiative.
- Demonstrated success supporting a team through complex project execution.
- Experience leading project teams and holding them accountable to project goals.
- Able to work 40 hours per week, overtime as required, night shifts, work out of town if needed.
- Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow.
