helper/apprentice (HVAC/plumbing)

We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Trades Helper to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success. As a Trades Helper, you will play a vital role in supporting skilled tradespeople on various projects. You will assist with a range of tasks, from preparing worksites and handling materials to performing basic repairs and ensuring a clean and safe environment. This is an entry-level position offering the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience and learn from experienced professionals in the trades.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with their duties.
• Prepare construction sites by clearing debris and potential hazards.
• Load and unload building materials, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain and organize tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to company guidelines at all times.
• Help assemble and install products and components.
• Support ad hoc duties and project work as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools (preferred).
• Safety-conscious with a willingness to learn and adhere to safety protocols.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
