Join Our Team as an Activities Assistant
Location: River Bend Nursing and Rehab, Evansville, IN
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay: $16/hour
Schedule: Day shift, weekdays, and every other weekend.
River Bend Nursing and Rehab is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to support the emotional, recreational, and social needs of our residents under the guidance of the Director of Activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate daily activities that promote entertainment, communication, relaxation, and creativity, meeting residents' psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
- Assist residents with everyday tasks such as writing letters, making phone calls, or registering to vote.
- Maintain accurate records of residents’ progress and activity participation.
- Support residents with mail delivery, escorting to activities, plant and pet care, newsletter preparation, and morning announcements.
- Provide craft supplies and supervise creative activities, encouraging residents to explore their potential.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior experience in long-term care or working with elderly or disabled individuals is highly desirable.
- Must be 18 years or older to apply.
