Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Medical Courier/Driver to join our dynamic team! Duties
- Safely operate a box truck or personal vehicle to deliver medical items across designated routes, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Load and unload medical supplies using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary.
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery receipts, manifests, and route logs using mobile devices or digital tracking systems.
- Maintain proper handling of medical materials, following safe lifting practices and weight handling guidelines in the workplace.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and clients to confirm delivery schedules, address issues promptly, and provide excellent customer service.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Assist with warehouse operations when needed, including inventory management and moving supplies within storage areas.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations is highly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or box trucks is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations, heavy lifting techniques, manual handling, and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Experience using mobile devices for route navigation, delivery confirmation, or documentation purposes.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely while following proper manual handling practices.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety protocols related to moving materials or supplies.
