The Practice Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the care center. This role is essential for ensuring that the care center runs efficiently, delivers excellent patient care while optimizing staff performance and managing financial operations. The Practice Manager will collaborate with physicians, nurses, administrative staff and the care centers CBO employees.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth workflow processes and addressing any operational management issues that arise.
- Lead and manage a team of administrative, clinical, and support staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations and scheduling.
- Responsible for managing the care center’s financial health and reporting to member physicians budgeting, billing, payroll and expenses.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, HIPAA standards and legal requirements.
- Accountable for patient care coordination by monitoring patient flow and satisfaction and implementing improvements to guarantee patient satisfaction.
Primary Duties:
- Maintains the care center’s physical environment, ensuring all equipment is functional, clean and to industry standards. Additionally, addresses any facility-related concerns in a timely manner.
- Audit inventory and manage the purchasing of medical and administrative supplies.
- Provide ongoing training for employees to ensure they are well-informed and up to date on industry standards, guidelines and laws.
- Manage physician and staff schedules by ensuring time off requests are processed in a timely manner, manage shift coverage and address any unplanned absence or tardiness.
- Review and prepare financial reports to present to member physicians for an overall financial health update.
- Respond to patient concerns and complaints in an empathetic, professional and timely manner.
- Implement initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and retention.
- Oversee accounts receivable and payable, resolving billing holds originating at the care center and submitting for payment.

Qualifications
Education
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management or relevant field.
Experience
- Experience: 5 years of experience in a senior practice management position.
- Preferred experience: Management of an OB/GYN medical practice.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service skills in handling patient questions and concerns with professionalism, empathy and patience.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Base Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
