Rivendell provides a comprehensive package of total value:
- Estimated pay $150/day
- Paid Time Off (accrual varies according to hours worked)

About the role:
The Guest Teacher position provides teaching support across the school in a variety of capacities which may include stepping in as a Core Teacher or Specials Teacher in the absence of regular faculty. The primary responsibility will be to facilitate student needs in classroom where teachers are absent. This role is dynamic, depending on the coverage required from the school on any given day.
- Create learning experiences that infuse creativity, inquiry, and content mastery.
- Meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, emotional and social needs of the children; providing daily opportunities for growth in the program.
- Instruct students in large, small, and one-on-one settings.
- Provide a safe and secure environment for children; ensure children are supervised at all times. Monitor students during breaks, lunch, recess, parking lot, etc.

- Ability to apply appropriate child development theories and best practice methods in the classroom to meet individual students needs both socially and academically.
- Ability to create clear and consistent classroom expectations that support students in being able to work independently and with other students.
- Clearly and effectively communicate in a manner that children understand.
- Demonstrates passion in work with children as evidenced by Instructor's enthusiasm, attitude, curiosity and perseverance.
- Teaching experience with children pre-school through 5th grade
- Post-secondary education and/or licensure may be required (preferably Colorado Teacher Licensure, Bachelors Early Childhood Education) - we encourage you to apply even if you do not have these credentials!
