What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle Level Science Teacher position at Rivendell Interstate School District?
Rivendell Academy is seeking a dynamic 7th and 8th grade science teacher and middle school team member. The position involves providing an engaging, inquiry and project-oriented physical science and biology course. The same course is taught to both grades every other year. This position is housed in an excellent, fully equipped lab space, and all middle school teachers are supported by special education teachers, paraprofessionals, a full-time librarian, and the middle school counselor.
The position also involves leading an advisory. Rivendell is committed to the integration of technology and interdisciplinary projects, which include co-teaching with a teacher in another discipline. We expect science teachers' pedagogy to include discussion, writing, and rigorous projects.Rivendell Academy is a small school for grades 6-12 located in the picturesque Connecticut River Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire.
