Westshire Elementary School seeks a 1:1 Special Education Paraeducator to provide personal care and support in functional life skills, as well as support in social, emotional, and behavioral skill development for an elementary aged student with special needs. Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of educators and therapists (such as an Occupational Therapist and Speech & Language Pathologist) is essential to supporting this student's communication and motor skill development needs.The 1:1 Intensive Special Education Paraeducator must have a high level of patience, empathy, and positivity for working with students with any type of disability. the 1:1 Intensive Special Education Paraeducator must work effectively as a member of a team, and demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills. Organizational skills are essential.
