In this role, we prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of our students every day. The School Nurse serves as a vital member of the educational team, supporting the physical and emotional health needs of students in grades 6–12. This position plays a key role in promoting a safe and healthy school environment that enables all students to succeed.
As our school nurse, you will:
- Support the physical and emotional health needs of students in grades 6-12
- Oversee and manage the school health program, including health needs assessments and health education planning
- Deliver and coordinate comprehensive health services to ensure students are safe, healthy, and ready to learn
- Serve as a key resource in maintaining a healthy school environment
- Collaborate with staff, families, and community providers to support student wellness
- Maintain accurate health records in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Active and valid nursing license (RN), and a VT Agency of Education license endorsed as a school nurse or the ability to obtain a Vermont educator license
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
