Rivendell Academy seeks an Intensive Special Education Paraeducator for the '26-'27 school year. This position serves to provide 1:1 personal care for a disabled high school student, across multiple educational settings and environments. The intensive special education paraeducator will receive specialized training from a multidisciplinary team of professionals to support the personal care, mobility, and activities of daily living for a student with special needs.
The intensive special education paraeducator must have a high level of patience, empathy, and positivity for working with disabled students. This position requires an individual who deeply respects student privacy rights, a good sense of humor, and the ability to be flexible and responsive to unanticipated change. The intensive special education paraeducator must work collaboratively and effectively with staff and administration on behalf of our students. This role requires strong oral and written communication skills as well as organizational skills. Dependability and reliability are essential characteristics for the intensive special education paraeducator position.
NOTE:
- Extra hours beyond typical support staff CBA schedule required due to before and after school bus ride requirements.
- The intensive special education paraeducator will receive an annual stipend of $4,200.00 in addition to their hourly rate.
