Job Summary
Riveer is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support daily purchasing activities, maintain vendor relationships, and keep accurate records of all materials and supplies. This position plays a vital role in ensuring our production and service teams have the parts and materials they need to deliver high-quality equipment on time.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process purchase orders for raw materials, parts, and supplies.
- Ensure orders received are accurate
- Communicate with vendors to request quotes, confirm pricing, and track deliveries
- Maintain accurate purchasing and vendor records within the ERP system
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in replenishment to prevent shortages
- Follow up on open orders and resolve delivery or quality issues with suppliers
- Assist with invoice matching and coordination with accounting for timely payment
- Provide general administrative support as needed
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or clerical/administrative support (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience using ERP or MRP systems (Epicor preferred)
- Knowledge of basic purchasing processes, vendor management, or inventory practices
Physical Demands
- This position requires the ability to frequently lift with arms and hands, as well as to stand, twist, bend, walk, and sit
- This position requires the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and, on occasion, lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with assistance
- This vision abilities required by this position include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Work Environment
- Noise level is moderate to loud
