Overview
Riveer is seeking a detail-oriented Entry-Level Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations. This role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, processing routine transactions, and supporting the accounting team with administrative and reporting tasks.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, problem-solving, and working with data. The Bookkeeper will work closely with accounting and purchasing to ensure financial information is accurate and up to date.
This is a full-time position, paid weekly.
Responsibilities
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the ERP/accounting system (Epicor Kinetic)
- Assist with accounts payable processing, including entering vendor invoices and verifying purchase order matches
- Support accounts receivable activities, including applying payments and maintaining customer records
- Maintain accurate vendor and customer records
- Verify accuracy of financial data and supporting documentation
- Assist with account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
- Review transaction entries for completeness and accuracy
- Organize and maintain digital and physical accounting records
- Assist with preparing financial reports and spreadsheets
- Help maintain documentation required for audits or internal controls
- Work to resolve invoice or PO discrepancies
- Communicate with vendors regarding invoice questions or payment status when needed
- Assist with customer invoicing and documentation related to shipments when needed
- Assist with collections
- Assist with online banking transactions
- Assist with answering phones
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office products and general computer systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with financial information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- Previous bookkeeping, accounting clerk, or office administration experience
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor a plus)
- Familiarity with accounts payable or receivable processes
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Comfortable working with numbers and financial data
