What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apprentice Diamond Setters position at Riva Precision Manufacturing?
Looking for a career of becoming a diamond setter? Learning diamond setting in school will cost tens of thousands of dollars. But an apprentice at Riva Precision will start making the minimum hourly rate and increase in pay in 30 days,60 days and 90 days. After that, the increase will depend on the gained experience.An apprentice will learn tool names and the basic tasks of cleaning, organizing the setting tools .Then progressing to simple stone setting and eventually setting diamonds and semi precious stones. All done under the supervision of a Master Setter. Will also train on machine setting. Teaching will include prong setting, bezel setting and all other types as the candidate showing growth in one area of setting or more . It will also depends on the type of work available. The focus will be on precision and quality control. Priority will be given to applicants with close proximity to Riva headquarters.
