Job Description
Ritz Safety is dedicated to providing convenient and cost-effective safety products and solutions to all people and industries worldwide. The Product Development Manager will play a key role in driving the development, sourcing, and successful launch of new safety products.
Primary Responsibilities
Product Development & Sourcing
- Collaborate closely with suppliers, purchasing teams, and all departments to drive product development initiatives.
- Manage import programs, including timelines, documentation, and coordination across departments.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, product samples, and cost structures to support strategic sourcing decisions.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with domestic and international suppliers throughout the development process.
Project Management
- Own the project lifecycle: gather requirements, consolidate information from all departments, define timelines, and track progress through completion.
- Coordinate cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment between Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
- Maintain comprehensive project trackers and documentation to keep all stakeholders informed.
Market & Usage Analysis
- Monitor product usage, customer feedback, and sales trends to identify opportunities for new product development or improvements to existing items.
- Work with Supply Chain and Purchasing to ensure inventory pipelines are optimized to meet demand.
- Identify industry trends within the safety and PPE markets and incorporate them into development roadmaps.
Data & Reporting
- Use Excel and other analytical tools to track import schedules, inventory performance, cost changes, and development timelines.
- Prepare reporting and insights for leadership to support strategic decision-making.
Required Experience and/or Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Product Management, or related field preferred.
· 2 years of experience in product development, supply chain management, purchasing, or similar roles.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal teams and suppliers.
· Proficient in the use of computers and software (Excel, Word, Microsoft Office).
