Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a full-time Tube Bending Machine Operator to join our production team in Cambridge. This position offers 40 hours per week with hours from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Thursday and Friday 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM. In-house training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Responsibilities include:
- Operate CNC Tube Bender to produce parts based on bend list and work orders
- Work with consistent speed and accuracy
- Complete inspections during production based on work order and applicable work instructions
- Inspect bent part geometry using Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
- Record time spent, quantity produced, and material usage with help of shop floor tracking software
- Interpret part drawings and work order documents
- Carry out setup of bend tooling for various production runs
- Create part programs with CNC Tube Bender control
- Troubleshoot bend quality issues to meet part requirements
- Operate hand/power tools as required
- Work with Engineering to develop straight tube geometry to streamline production
- Work with Quality staff to identify non-conforming material
- Participate in Corrective Action/Continuous Improvement processes
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanically inclined
- Experience with blueprint reading
- Basic math skills
- Strong communication skills
- Physically able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset
Work Schedule:
- 9 hours/day 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, and 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM Friday's (overtime as required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
