Job Summary
We are seeking a part‑time Office Assistant to support our manufacturing operations by handling essential clerical tasks. This role helps keep production running smoothly by managing documentation, assisting with scheduling, maintaining records, and supporting both office and shop‑floor teams. The ideal candidate is organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, industrial environment.
Responsibilities may include:
Order Entry:
· Document Management — Prepare packing slips, invoices, purchase orders, and shipping paperwork.
· Inventory Coordination — Update inventory counts, log material usage, and communicate shortages to supervisors.
· General Office Upkeep — Filing, organizing supplies, and keeping the office tidy.
· Production Paperwork — Create and update job travelers, work orders, cut lists, and routing sheets for fabrication jobs. Print work orders as requested by lead hands/production team. Close work orders as they are handed in throughout the day.
· Data Entry — Enter job numbers, material usage into Genius ERP system.
· Vendor Coordination — Communicate with suppliers ie. laser shops, powder coaters, and other subcontractors.
· Shipping & Receiving Support — Prepare packing slips, labels, BOLs, and coordinate pickups with carriers or local drivers. Receiving in product and scanning documents.
· General Office Duties — Filing, organizing prints, maintaining office supplies, and keeping the front office tidy.

· Fill in for Shipping Admin in the event of absence
· Fill in for Production Planner in the event of absence
· Participate in annual inventory at the main shop and shipping warehouse
· Answer phones and re-direct calls when needed
Requirements:
· Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork
· Computer proficiency (Excel, Word, email; ERP experience a plus)
· Strong written and verbal communication

· Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
· Comfortable working around machinery, noise, and safety protocols
· Prior office or manufacturing experience preferred but not required
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
