What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Fitness Coach at Ritual Training position at Ritual Training?
Coaching Is a Craft
At Ritual Training, we believe great coaching is about far more than just leading a workout. It’s about commanding a room with confidence, coaching movement with precision, building meaningful relationships, and creating an experience that keeps members coming back.
We’re building a team of professional coaches who take pride in their craft and want to keep getting better. If you’re an ambitious group fitness instructor or high-potential coach looking for an environment where expectations are clear, feedback is part of the culture, and your development is taken seriously, we want to meet you.
The Role
As a Group Fitness Coach at Ritual, you’ll lead dynamic, 40-minute group strength and conditioning sessions while delivering a safe, motivating, and high-standard experience for every member.

- Lead sessions with confidence, clarity, energy, and a strong presence.
- Coach and demonstrate movement patterns safely and effectively.
- Provide real-time corrections, individualized coaching cues, and high-value encouragement.
- Bring consistent energy and professionalism to early-morning sessions.
- Build genuine relationships with members inside and outside the studio.
- Arrive prepared, organized, and focused on delivering an elite member experience.
- Contribute to a supportive, accountable, high-standard team culture.
Who Thrives at Ritual
This role is a strong fit if you:
- Have previous experience in group fitness, personal training, athletic coaching, or similar roles.
- Know how to manage, engage, and energy-match a room.
- Take feedback well and actively look for ways to sharpen your coaching ability.
- Value accountability, punctuality, and high professional standards.
- Believe fitness coaching is ultimately about people, not just exercises.
Don’t have all your credentials yet? We care deeply about potential. For the right candidate, Ritual will cover the cost of your NASM CPT certification as part of your development path.

We don’t drop you on the mic and leave you to figure it out alone. Feedback and mentorship are built directly into our schedule:
- Daily Huddles & Debriefs: Fast-feedback loops to keep your coaching sharp.
- Structured Evaluations: Clear metrics so you always know where you stand and how to advance.
- Leadership Pathways: Opportunities for full-time career paths, lead coach roles, and studio management as your skills grow.
