Role Description The Yoga Teacher is a part-time (with potential for full), on-site role based at Ritual Hot Yoga in Salt Lake City, UT. In this position, the teacher leads dynamic, heated group classes that follow the studio’s “Breathe to the Beat” format, offering clear, safe instruction for practitioners of varying experience levels. Daily responsibilities include preparing class sequences, setting up the studio space, guiding breath and movement, providing hands-on support when appropriate, and ensuring an inclusive, supportive environment. The role also involves engaging with clients before and after class, maintaining the cleanliness and ambiance of the studio, and collaborating with the team to uphold Ritual Hot Yoga’s elevated service standards. Teachers may participate in ongoing training, special events, and community outreach to strengthen the studio’s presence and deepen student relationships.
Qualifications
- Taken 10 classes at Ritual Hot Yoga to ensure they have a genuine interest in teaching at Ritual Hot Yoga
- Demonstrated proficiency in Yoga Instruction and Teaching, with the ability to guide safe, accessible classes for diverse levels of experience.
- Experience with Ashtanga and Vinyasa styles, and comfort integrating these traditions into dynamic, music-driven sequences.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal cueing, active listening, and the ability to create a welcoming, inclusive class environment.
- Current yoga teacher training certification (e.g., 200-hour or equivalent) from a recognized school.
- Ability to teach in heated environments and provide attentive, hands-on support while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Reliable availability for scheduling, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Commitment to continuous learning, feedback, and participation in team trainings and studio initiatives.
- CPR/First Aid certification and prior experience teaching in studio or fitness settings are beneficial.
