Role Description
The Associate Counselor/Associate Social Worker will support individuals and families by providing counseling and case management services. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, facilitating individual and group therapy, and connecting clients to necessary resources. The role involves interdisciplinary collaboration with other team members to deliver integrated care. This is a full-time, on-site position based in San Rafael, CA.
Qualifications
- Experience in conducting client assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering counseling services
- Case management skills including resource coordination, advocacy, and support for individuals in crisis
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients
- Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), Counseling, or a related field
- Possession of Associate registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (e.g., ACSW or AMFT)
- Commitment to working with underserved populations and addressing issues such as homelessness and mental health
- Proficiency in electronic health records and documentation practices is a plus
- Fluency in Spanish is a significant advantage
