About Us
Rittenhouse Digital LLC operates R2Library.com, a leading digital health science library platform serving hospitals, universities, government agencies, and medical institutions worldwide. The platform was originally built on Microsoft .NET nearly 20 years ago, with its last major update in 2016. We are seeking an experienced .NET Software Support Engineer to help maintain, troubleshoot, and extend this legacy system while we prepare for modernization.
Role Overview
You will be the primary technical support resource for our existing R2Library.com platform, ensuring uptime, stability, and performance. The role will involve troubleshooting bugs, maintaining the .NET application, supporting database operations, and coordinating with internal teams for enhancements. This is a hands-on role requiring deep expertise in legacy Microsoft .NET environments.
Responsibilities
• Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for R2Library.com.
• Manage and optimize IIS server configurations, application pools, and deployments.
• Debug and maintain legacy ASP.NET (Web Forms/MVC) and C# code.
• Support and maintain SQL Server databases, including stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization.
• Ensure system stability, security, and compliance with best practices.
• Document fixes, workflows, and technical processes for internal use.
• Collaborate with leadership on potential system upgrades, migration strategies, and integrations.
• Work with vendors and contractors as needed for specialized support.
Qualifications
• 5 years experience supporting and maintaining Microsoft .NET applications.
• Strong skills in ASP.NET (Web Forms and/or MVC), C#, SQL Server, and IIS administration.
• Familiarity with legacy .NET Framework (4.x and earlier) applications.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server environments.
• Ability to debug, patch, and deploy applications in a production enterprise environment.
• Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Experience with legacy-to-modern migration projects (preferred but not required).
• Familiarity with healthcare or education digital platforms (a plus).
