Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Plumbing Supervisor to lead and oversee plumbing operations on construction sites. This role is vital in ensuring that plumbing systems are installed, maintained, and inspected according to project specifications, safety standards, and quality benchmarks. As a Plumbing Supervisor, you will coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and field teams to deliver exceptional results efficiently and safely. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all plumbing activities on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans, schematics, and safety protocols.
- Manage a team of plumbers and subcontractors, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a productive work environment.
- Review construction blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to verify installation requirements and identify potential issues early in the process.
- Oversee the procurement and utilization of construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools for scheduling, budgeting, and document control.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor quality control measures, ensure compliance with OSHA standards, and verify that work meets all safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers on project scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting estimates, and contract management to keep projects on track.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing of plumbing systems and ensure proper functioning of all pipeline components.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex plumbing issues using schematics and technical manuals; implement solutions promptly to minimize delays.
- Maintain accurate records of daily progress reports, safety inspections, change orders, and other documentation required for project tracking.
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, industry standards, and client specifications while promoting a culture of safety and quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising plumbing or construction projects within the commercial or industrial sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction management practices including project scheduling (Primavera P6), cost estimating (Construction estimating), contracts management, and quality control processes.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid; familiarity with OSHAsafety standards is essential.
- Extensive hands-on experience with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, pipeline installation techniques, and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in a fast-paced environment; ability to manage multiple teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating between field teams, project managers, clients, and vendors.
- Technical certifications related to plumbing systems or construction management are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to construction site safety is mandatory.
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately and apply this knowledge practically on-site.
