Job Description
RiteFix Autocare is seeking a friendly, dependable, honest, and motivated individual to join our team as an Automotive Service Writer / Cashier.
This is a combined position involving customer service, automotive service writing, and cashier responsibilities at our auto repair shop and convenience store.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, communicates professionally, stays organized, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.
Previous automotive experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person.
Key Responsibilities
Automotive Service Writing
- Greet customers and assist with automotive repair and maintenance inquiries.
- Answer telephone calls and schedule service appointments.
- Collect customer and vehicle information and prepare repair orders.
- Assist with preparing repair estimates using shop management software.
- Communicate with mechanics regarding vehicle repairs and service progress.
- Explain approved estimates, repair recommendations, and completed services to customers.
- Keep customers informed about their vehicle's repair status.
- Maintain accurate customer and service records.
Cashier & Convenience Store Duties
- Process fuel, convenience store, and other customer transactions.
- Handle cash and electronic payments accurately.
- Assist customers with purchases and general inquiries.
- Keep the cashier area clean, organized, and properly stocked.
- Perform basic merchandise restocking and other assigned duties.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Friendly, respectful, and professional attitude.
- Honest, dependable, punctual, and responsible.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new software.
- Ability to multitask and manage different responsibilities.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous cashier, receptionist, customer service, or automotive experience is a plus.
