We’re seeking a Senior Production Supervisor to join our team and share responsibilities with other Production Supervisors in this dynamic role. This position is critical to ensuring excellence in cheese manufacturing, including product quality, staffing, employee development, budgeting, and maintenance. The Production Supervisor will lead a team of skilled employees to achieve exceptional quality, high standards, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Share responsibilities with the other Production Supervisors to ensure smooth operations across shifts. Maintain consistent communication to align on goals and processes.
- Provide hands-on oversight to produce products that achieve world-class quality.
- Hire, train, and mentor highly skilled and effective employees.
- Lead your team to meet or exceed food safety standards, and help achieve strong regulatory audit scores.
- Develop and adhere to operating budgets. Manage inventory levels to maximize throughput and productivity.
- Oversee repairs and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Schedule employees, manage payroll, conduct performance reviews, and handle disciplinary actions.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Develop work instructions, e-learning modules, and other essential documentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of leadership experience in a food production environment.
- Proven ability to lead teams and communicate effectively, both written and orally.
- Familiarity with HACCP & GMP practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong data entry skills.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, stand for long periods, and lift up to 65 pounds.
