Systems Engineer

Rite-Solutions, Inc. is seeking an entry level Systems Engineer. You will serve as an engineer in the Naval Architecture & Engineering Department. This position is full-time located on-site at Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC.Primary Responsibilities:Support system definition, requirements development, and functional analysis for ship design projects.Assist in creating and maintaining system architecture models, interface control documents (ICDs), and system diagrams.Participate in trade studies and design reviews to assess system performance, weight, cost, and risk.Support integration of shipboard subsystems (propulsion, power, navigation, communication, HVAC, etc.).Perform requirements traceability, configuration management, and verification planning.Collaborate with naval architects, mechanical/electrical engineers, and program management.Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and customer review.Skills and Requirements:Bachelor's degree in science, Engineering or related technical field.Minimum experience 1 year with System Engineering in internships, or school environment.This position requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain an Active or Interim Department of Defense SECRET clearance.Knowledge associated with engineering functions related to design, troubleshooting, analysis, reporting, and/or testing Candidates must be able to work independently, collaboratively, and interface regularly with a wide range of client personnel.Proficiency with MS office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat and MATLAB.Who are we?Rite-Solutions, Inc. is a CMMI Level III and CMMC 2.0 Level 2 certified organization.
