Silver Oak Academy is located on a scenic 78 acre campus surrounded by sprawling corn fields, beautiful woods full of local wildlife and foliage, a football stadium, an athletic center (gymnasium, padded wrestling room, a fully equipped weight room & more), a Tech Center, student housing for 96 youth, and an academic building all just a short commute from Frederick, Baltimore & DC. On site dormitories are available for staff use during their shift and overnight for those with a long commute, or limited transportation.
Pay: starting at $52,000 per year.

What you will do: The Group Supervisor exercises considerable independent judgment and authority on a daily basis through direction and supervision of both students and staff in order to meet expectations of the services provided. The Group Supervisor exercises direct control and direction over subordinate staff such as Senior Coach Counselors, Coach Counselors, Night Coach Counselors, transportation, etc. as assigned in the safety, care and around-the-clock supervision of students in the program. The Group Supervisor's duties include participation and authority in decisions involving processes to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, promote, discharge, assign, evaluate performance, reward or discipline other employees and program delivery.
To be considered you should:
One year experience working with at-risk youth in a mental health setting, or residential placement. Supervisory experience preferred. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent ~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen (we no longer test for THC), physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.
Schedule: 3.5 days per week, 12-hour shifts
- A Shift – Sunday/Monday/Tuesday 8am-9m and Wednesday - 8am-3pm *1 hour break each day*
- B Shift -Thursday/Friday/Saturday - 8am-9pm and Wednesday - 2pm-9pm *1 hour break each day*
