We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Rehabilitation to lead our rehabilitation services with passion and strategic vision. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans to expand and enhance rehabilitation services, aligning with organizational goals and community needs.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise multidisciplinary teams including therapists, medical staff, and administrative personnel to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Oversee fiscal management activities such as budgeting, financial planning, billing processes, and resource allocation to maintain financial health of the department.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA, JCAHO standards, and other accreditation requirements related to medical records, documentation, and patient safety.
- Manage clinic operations utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with medical management teams to coordinate patient care plans, utilization management, and discharge planning for acute care or hospital-based rehabilitation programs.
- Oversee human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development initiatives to foster a motivated team environment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare policies, managed care protocols, and insurance requirements to streamline administrative processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in healthcare management or clinical supervision within rehabilitation or related medical fields.
- Strong background in fiscal management including budgeting, financial analysis, and resource planning.
- Extensive knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and JCAHO standards.
- Experience with clinic operations involving medical office management, billing procedures, and medical administrative support functions.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a proactive leadership style that inspires teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in acute care hospitals or outpatient clinics; familiarity with dental or veterinary rehabilitation services is a plus; additional certifications in healthcare management or therapy disciplines are advantageous.
