Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a General Laborer- Directional Drill Crew at Ritchie Installation and Communications, LLC, based in Fort Wayne, IN. The role involves assisting in various tasks related to directional drilling, including site preparation, operating tools and equipment, and supporting the crew with direct bury services and other installation projects. Adherence to safety protocols and effective communication within the team are essential components of daily responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Experience operating or assisting with directional drilling equipment, tools, and machinery
- General labor skills, including site preparation, material handling, and working in outdoor environments
- Knowledge of safety practices and protocols, such as OSHA standards and operating in compliance with safety regulations
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing work environments
- Possession of OSHA 10 certification (required); utility pole climbing and rescue training certifications are a plus
- Valid driver’s license; CDL certification is an advantage but not mandatory
- Previous experience in fiber installation, construction, or related fields is preferred
