What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fiber Optic Drop Technician - Training Available position at Ritchie Installation and Communications LLC?
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license, high school diploma or equivalent, reliable transportation.
- Follow directions from Field Crew Leader and interact effectively and cooperatively with crew members.
- Comfortable working in right of way.
- Locate and mark underground utilities or be willing to learn.
- Understand the basics of fiber splicing or be willing to learn.
- Capable of operating Vermeer drop plow machine or be willing to learn.
- Demonstrate professional communication skills with both crew members and customers.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Knowledge of and ability to operate basic hand and power tools.
- Basic computer/tablet skills.
- Ahere to all safety policies and follow OSHA guidelines.
This technician works in support of our customers to bury and/or bore underground, as well as, run aerial fiber optic cable to the home.
Must be able to successfully pass an MVR, background, and drug screen.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
