The Buyer role is responsible for the purchasing of new and existing parts based on demand in company ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, including assisting in supplier selection, supplier evaluation, and providing recommendations on changes in both process and partners to Supply Chain Manager. This role works extensively in an ERP environment and the ability to operate in such an environment in crucial.

Compensation
- As you evaluate your career options, we recognize that salary is a key consideration. For this role, the pay range is $60,000 - 100,000, with individual compensation determined by your unique skills, experience level, and other relevant factors
Schedule:
- Enjoy a 4-day work week, 10-hours a day (Monday-Thursday Between 6:00am and 6:00pm).
- Additional hours may be required during busier times

- Procure parts from domestic and international suppliers based on ERP-driven demand.
- Request and update supplier pricing, terms, and schedules to ensure optimal cost and availability.
- Expedite or de-expedite orders to align with demand fluctuations.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and schedule changes with suppliers.
- Communicate adjustments to maintain part availability.
- Plan purchases to optimize inventory levels while considering space, shelf-life, and total landed costs.
- Support new product development with procurement activities.
- Evaluate and onboard alternative suppliers for existing products.
- Conduct supplier visits, document transactions, and resolve issues.
- Track incoming orders using freight forwarder software.
- Maintain supplier scorecards and provide quarterly reports.
- Record and maintain order documentation for compliance and supplier evaluation.
- Team-oriented mindset with cross-departmental collaboration skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Other duties as assigned including training others on known processes
What You Will Bring:
Required:
- Two years of experience in domestic and international purchasing in an ERP/MRP environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including with non-native English speakers
- Experience working in ERP systems for procurement
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations (discounts, interest, proportions, percentages)
Preferred:
- APICS Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or similar field
