**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**
- Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers.
- Identify electrical problems using testing devices such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and ammeters.
- Read blueprints or technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Perform scheduled maintenance on electrical systems and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures.
- Install, repair, and maintain 480V and 3-phase electrical systems, including power distribution, motor control centers, control panels, and plant lighting systems.
- Ensure all work complies with National Electric Code (NEC), NFPA 70E standards, and relevant local/state electrical codes.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical panels, control circuits, switchgear, and backup power systems (e.g., generators, UPS units).
- Support electrical project planning and provide accurate estimates for labor, materials, and timelines.
- Participate in safety audits and training initiatives, ensuring compliance with LOTO procedures, and promoting a safety-first culture.
- Recommend upgrades to improve energy efficiency and equipment reliability.
- Valid Pennsylvania Journeyman or Master Electrician license with demonstrated experience in 480V and 3-phase systems, preferred
- Valid electrician license or certification as required by local/state regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash safety, and PPE requirements.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in a variety of environments (e.g., heights, confined spaces, outdoors).
- Strong understanding of automation, sensors, limit switches, and electrical schematics.
- Competency in reading and updating wiring diagrams, single-line drawings, and panel layouts.
- Experience in metals manufacturing or heavy industry is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of electrical.
