Our client is seeking a strategic and hands-on Leader of a Solutions Architecture team with oversight of 6 architects. You are a well-rounded technical leader who has come up through the hands-on development ranks and has some design experience. You will set architecture standards, guide major initiatives, and align technology investments with business strategies.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Define and govern architecture standards, principles, and reference patterns
- Lead team developing end-to-end solution design for complex initiatives
- Assess current environments and develop target architecture roadmaps
- Ensure solutions meet scalability, security, and reliability requirements
- Guide teams on microservices, APIs, integrations, and event-driven design
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies
- Partner with business, product, security, and engineering stakeholders
- Present architecture recommendations to senior leadership
- Mentor and manage Solution Architecture team members
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience
- 7 10 years across architecture, engineering, integrations, infrastructure, or security
- Proven experience leading technical teams or major architecture initiatives
- Strong background in APIs, microservices, distributed systems (.NET, Java, etc.), and integrations
- Career path in software development and into design
- Deep expertise in cloud and hybrid environments (AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience with AI platforms/frameworks (e.g., Vertex AI, Bedrock, agentic patterns)
- Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment (SAFe a plus)
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Solid understanding of secure-by-design principles and operational resilience
