Position Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for leading daily operations, delivering an exceptional guest experience, managing and developing team members, and upholding Rita’s high standards for product quality, cleanliness, and hospitality.
Responsibilities
Leadership amp; Guest Service
Hire, train, and develop team members to provide outstanding guest service.
Maintain a positive, engaging store culture aligned with Rita’s mission and values.
Lead by example to ensure every guest receives a memorable experience.
Operations amp; Financial Management
Oversee scheduling, labor management, inventory, and ordering.
Use operational tools such as sales reports, labor reports, and inventory systems to drive results.
Ensure accurate cash handling, daily reconciliation, and bank deposits.
Product Quality amp; Food Safety
Ensure Italian Ice, custard, and specialty treats are prepared and served to Rita’s brand standards.
Maintain full compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements.
Train all team members on proper food-handling procedures.
Store Standards amp; Maintenance
Maintain excellent store cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance.
Coordinate equipment repairs, maintenance, and store inspections.
Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning checklists.
Marketing amp; Community Engagement
Support and execute local marketing initiatives, community events, fundraisers, and school partnerships.
Communicate new promotions, seasonal flavors, and company initiatives to the team.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a restaurant or customer-focused retail environment.
ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Word/Excel.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to work 30-35 hours weekly
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks in a frozen-treat shop.
