Duties
- Set up event spaces with tables, chairs, linens, and necessary equipment to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously during events, including fine dining and casual gatherings.
- Assist with food handling, preparation, and presentation to uphold high standards of safety and quality.
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing questions, taking orders, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the event.
- Clear tables, bussing dishes promptly to maintain cleanliness and facilitate smooth service flow.
- Support beverage service including wine pouring, drink mixing, and operating POS systems for transactions.
- Maintain food safety standards by following proper hygiene practices and handling procedures at all times.
Skills
- Previous experience in the food industry or catering environment is highly preferred.
- Strong guest relations skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of food handling, serving techniques, and beverage service including wine and coffee experience.
- Experience with banquet setups, fine dining service, and food preparation is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic math for transactions and portioning accurately.
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing and payments.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive attitude to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail.
