Podcast Studio & Production Intern
Location: Rita House, Los Angeles
Hours: ~25 hours/week (M: 9am-9pm, T: 9am-2pm, W/F: 9am-1:30pm)
Compensation: [Monthly Stipend College Credit]
About the Role: Rita House is looking for a motivated Podcast Studio Intern to manage our in-house recording studio and assist our creative community of podcasters. This is a hands-on role perfect for a student or junior engineer looking to gain "real world" experience in a high-end, professional environment. You will be responsible for the technical success of every session, from the moment a client walks in to the final file transfer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Studio Operations: Opening/closing the studio and ensuring the space is "camera-ready" for high-profile clients.
- Engineering: Setting up microphones (shure SM7B), monitoring levels, and capturing high-quality multi-track audio.
- Video Production: Operating studio cameras, managing lighting setups, and ensuring visual consistency for video-podcasts.
- Post-Production: Handling "Live-to-tape" switching, basic audio cleaning, and potentially assisting with social media clips/editing.
- Media Management: Managing file transfers (Dropbox/WeTransfer) and ensuring clients receive their raw files immediately following sessions.
- Client Relations: Acting as the "on-site expert" to troubleshoot technical issues and provide a premium experience for talent and producers.
Requirements:
- Experience with cameras (Sony/Canon) and basic studio lighting.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working with high-profile talent and celebrities.
- Strong communication skills and a "solution-oriented" mindset.
