What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker position at Rison Housing Authority?
The Rison Housing Authority is seeking a mid-level/experienced apartment maintenance technician. The ideal apartment maintenance technician would be someone with experience in apartment maintenance, HVAC service, appliances repair, plumbing and electrical.
- Prepare vacant units for market, including painting, drywall, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Perform routine repairs, including plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, appliance, plumbing and light electrical.
- Perform routine quarterly unit inspections and preventive maintenance on the buildings.
- Perform on-call emergency repairs after-hours (evening and weekend hours variable).
- Routine grounds and seasonal cleanup duties as needed.
- All other relevant job duties as assigned by manager and Executive Director.
Employment Requirements:
- To ensure the safety of residents & staff, must be vaccinated for Covid 19 .
- Must have valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Will be required to pass a background check and drug test.
- Must own and be able to use basic tools required for the job
- Lift/move up to approximately 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- 3 years of apartment experience

Salary Range: Negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
