Senior AI Engineer, Agentic Products (Fintech)

About the Role
An early AI engineering seat at a fintech platform serving investment banks. You’ll build and ship agentic product features that large banks trust with real work, and set the patterns and processes for the AI team as it grows. This is an individual-contributor role reporting to the co-founder and CIO.
Responsibilities
Build and ship agentic product features for large bank clients
Make architecture decisions that balance performance, cost and maintainability
Design agent infrastructure: evals, guardrails, tool integrations and observability
Build backend APIs (Python, Django/FastAPI) and AWS infrastructure, partnering with product engineers on the UI
Establish patterns and processes for the AI team
Evaluate new AI tools, models and techniques
Requirements
Production backend experience
Shipped LLM-powered features, ideally with evaluations
Frontier model prompting
Production-ready agentic systems
Depth of AI experience matters more than years; a move from traditional ML into AI is welcome
Salary : $210,000 - $250,000
