Are you passionate about public safety, community engagement, and making Everett a safer place to live and work? Our team here at RSU (Risk Solutions Unlimited) is seeking Night Shift Security & Safety Professionals to join our Downtown Everett Team.
Position:
We are currently looking for Night Shift full time security professionals.
About the Role:
As part of our Everett Team, you will perform patrols, access control, site monitoring, and other duties, building positive relationships with local businesses, community members, and individuals experiencing challenges such as homelessness, mental health issues, or substance use while you perform your duties. You will help deter criminal activity, assist individuals in distress, and provide a visible, compassionate presence after hours.
This role integrates security services with community safety outreach, in partnership with the City agencies, medical responders, law enforcement, and local service providers.
Core Duties:
- Foot patrols throughout designated areas
- Monitor for and report suspicious activity, disturbances, or crimes
- Provide trained emergency support until EMS arrives (First Aid/CPR/Narcan)
- Engage respectfully with the community, client, business owners, patrons, and houseless or otherwise vulnerable individuals
- De-escalate conflict situations and coordinate with first responders when necessary
- Provide basic outreach information about local resources
- Monitor parking lots and property for vandalism or theft prevention
- Maintain detailed reports using our mobile reporting system
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State Security Guard License (or expired within the last 6 months)
- 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for full shifts (8 hours)
- Ability to lift or drag up to 60 lbs
- Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills
- Ability to use a smartphone and reporting apps effectively
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification (Prefered, will train.)
- Compassion for vulnerable populations and community-based safety work
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, or special events as needed
Preferred Skills:
- Narcan administration experience (training provided if needed)
- Experience in prior security roles, public safety, or outreach
- Multilingual skills or cultural competency in working with diverse communities
