Position Summary:
This position will support the deployment and commissioning of cybersecurity equipment at two new data centers in the southeastern United States. The employee will help design the cybersecurity solutions, manage the receipt of equipment, configure equipment in staging environments, coordinate just-in-time delivery of equipment to the data centers, assist in equipment installation and connection to the network. The employee will also be responsible for documenting the design of the cybersecurity solutions through the various phases of the implementation.
Essential Functions:
- Works with Security Architect to understand solution requirements
- Responsible for designing and building secure solutions
- Assists the organization in understanding advanced cyber threats
- Help customers understand and apply information security concepts, processes and technologies
- Provide on-site support during rollout of cybersecurity equipment at multiple data centers
- Act as a liaison between data center technicians and system owners to coordinate equipment delivery, installation schedules, and troubleshoot issues
- Track and report project progress to leadership
- Develop low-level designs and engineering packages for the rollout of cybersecurity equipment
- Document cabinet layout and cable connectivity requirements
- Verify equipment and cabling is installed correctly
- Configure cybersecurity equipment
- Develop as-built documentation
Competencies:
- Strong networking skills, especially in the lower layers of the OSI Model (physical, data link, network, transport)
- Experience with Linux-based operating systems
- Experience with packet aggregation switches
- Experience configuring, operating and maintaining network security monitor sensors
- Experience with VMware NSX and/or vDefend is a plus
- Strong knowledge of and experience working with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls and content filtering
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment frameworks (eg.NIST 800, Cyber Security Framework, C2M2, COBIT, OWASP, MITRE, ITIL, Cloud Security Alliance, etc.) and methods, technologies and methods
- Knowledge of and experience working with endpoint security solutions, including file integrity monitoring and data loss prevention
- Practical and theoretical knowledge of malware attack vectors and mitigation techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of and experience working with TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, wireless, VPN, RADIUS, PKI, etc.
- Strong knowledge of and experience working with encryption techniques such as HSM, PGP, HTTPS.
- Strong knowledge of and experience working with Windows & Unix Operating Systems
- Strong knowledge of and experience working with SIEM Technology, Next-Generation Firewalls, Next-Generation Endpoint Protection, NetFlow Monitoring, Database Encryption
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of related experience supporting cybersecurity technology in lieu of a degree
- Industry certification(s) preferred
- Must be able to pass background requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience
Desired Certificates & Licenses (if any):
- Networking certification such as Network , CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, etc.
- Information Security certifications such as Security , CISSP, etc.
- Other relevant industry certifications
Other Requirements:
- Security Clearance: No clearance required.
- Background Investigation and Drug Screen: This position requires passing an extensive 30-year background check and drug screen, and likely will require passing a second background check for the Insider Threat Program.
- Hybrid Role: This is currently a hybrid role but may transition to a model where the employee is required to be at a client facility at least 4 days a week, depending on changing client requirements.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness and capability to travel, CONUS to facilities in north central Georgia and eastern Alabama approximately 30% of the time. Travel dates will be mandated by the project schedule and will require being on site 5 days a week, possibly for back-to-back weeks.
- Work Environment Compliance: Commitment to maintaining a drug-free work environment, U.S. Citizenship, and possession of a valid state driver's license.
Ideally, this individual will live in the Auburn, AL area.
