Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various driving environments and be proficient in operating different types of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and more. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks for the delivery of freight.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual methods as required.
- Ensure the safe transport of goods while maintaining compliance with all regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, routes, and vehicle maintenance.
- Drive routes efficiently while adhering to schedules and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues that arise during transport.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and freight handling.
- Proven track record as a delivery driver with strong route driving skills.
- Ability to load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
