Duties
- Assist licensed counselors with client intake assessments, ensuring thorough documentation of medical history, behavioral observations, and treatment plans.
- Support clients through behavioral health and crisis intervention techniques, including de-escalation and emergency response procedures.
- Maintain detailed medical records, document patient progress, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards including HIPAA and medical terminology protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate intake procedures, patient care activities, and crisis management efforts for adults facing substance use challenges.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of addiction counseling principles, crisis intervention techniques, and behavior intervention strategies.
- Excellent client communication skills combined with de-escalation techniques to foster trust and rapport.
- Familiarity with behavioral health issues including substance use disorders, and behavior management approaches.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- First aid and CPR certification is highly desirable to ensure immediate response during emergencies.
