Rising Tide is seeking substitute teachers to join our substitute teacher pool for the 2026-2027 school year.
Candidates will be responsible for maintaining a safe, positive learning environment while ensuring that students continue to receive quality education in the absence of their regular teacher. This role requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and a commitment to fostering student development across various subjects and age groups.
Duties
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, ensuring continuity of instruction.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Engage students in meaningful activities that promote learning and development.
- Foster positive relationships with students to encourage participation and enthusiasm for learning.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and their regular teachers.
- Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness, ensuring all materials are available for student use.
- Uphold and model all schoolwide, grade-level, and teacher-specific rules and procedures.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Sub plan/curriculum implementation
- Classroom management
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and with various needs
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous work with children and adolescents in various settings such as childcare, tutoring, schools, or summer camps
Pay: $130.00 per day
