Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of individuals seeking physical therapy to regain their mobility and enhance their quality of life? Our outpatient physical therapy clinic is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to assist our skilled physical therapists in providing exceptional care to our patients.
Looking for a great individual who wants to learn about physical therapy!! We are flexible on schedules. We are typically open from 11 am to 7pm M-F.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with Patient Care:
- Aid physical therapists in preparing treatment rooms and equipment for patient sessions.
- Assist physical therapist and patients in performing exercises and activities.
- Provide support and encouragement to patients during their therapy sessions.
Administrative Support:
- Help with scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment.
- Assist in organizing and filing patient documents and preparing charts.
Patient Education:
- Assist in educating patients on exercise programs and home care routines prescribed by the physical therapist.
- Answer basic questions and provide information regarding therapy procedures and exercises.
Observation and Learning:
- Observe and learn from experienced physical therapists to enhance your understanding of physical therapy techniques and patient care.
- Participate in discussions and training sessions to expand your knowledge of physical therapy practices.
Requirements:
- Enthusiasm and passion for assisting individuals in their rehabilitation journey.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Reliable and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts.
- Willingness to commit to a minimum number of volunteer hours per week or month.
